Sage (Sativia officinalis) is a fragrant silvery-green plant found growing in regions around the Mediterranean and more recently throughout North America.  For thousands of years Sage has been used for a variety of culinary and medicinal purposes.  However aside from the kitchen, Sage is probably best known for its unique ability to help control excessive sweating and perspiration. For this reason sage has become well-known for its ability to help reduce some of the unpleasant symptoms of menopause.

Menopause is a normal and natural event and marks the end of the reproductive phase of a woman’s life. Although menopause is a natural process, the associated symptoms can be unpleasant and can interfere with daily activities and relationships. Excessive sweating and hot flashes - which often go hand-in-hand, are two of the most common complaints of women going through menopause.1,2  It is believed that the main trigger of excessive sweating and hot flashes is related to the decreasing and fluctuating levels of estrogen.1

Sage is an excellent herbal remedy to help naturally reduce the onset and degree of excessive sweating and hot flashes. In a recent clinical trial 71 menopausal women taking sage leaf tablets for 8 weeks showed a remarkable decrease in both the frequency and intensity of hot flashes. By the end of the 8 weeks, the overall severity of hot flashes was reduced by 64%, and the number of mild, moderate, severe and very severe hot flashes was reduced by 46%, 62%, 79% and 100% respectively after 8 weeks.

Vegetarian capsule (cellulose, purified water, silica), L-Leucine, silica, microcrystlline cellulose.
